Senior Accountant

Our client, an international audit, tax, and advisory firm, is currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality accounting support to a diverse range of clients and to take on a key role within a growing and supportive team.

This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to €45K.

Please note that due to the urgency of the role, only candidates who are already based in Europe can be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

• Review accounting transactions and prepare management accounts

• Carry out periodic and year-end closing journals, along with finalising management accounts

• Liaise closely with auditors during the annual audit process

• Identify and implement improvements to systems and procedures on an ongoing basis

• Provide support and guidance to junior staff and other team members

Education, Skills & Experience

• Fully qualified accountant or is in the final stages of completing an accountancy qualification

• Proven experience in successfully handling multiple client portfolios across various industries

• Fluency in English both written and spoken

• Fluency in Maltese is a plus

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster positive relationships both with clients and team members

• Proactive with the ability to work independently and within a team
