About the Role

We’re hiring a Backend Engineer to enhance our core application infrastructure, a pivotal role in delivering robust services that support our innovative solutions.

You will develop essential application services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring seamless operations regarding real-time data handling and integration functionalities. Your responsibilities will extend to supporting testing, issue resolution, and production readiness, contributing directly to the overall reliability and performance of our systems.

This position is an individual contributor role that offers substantial ownership over backend architecture and design as we aim to advance our backend capabilities, incorporating Python and FastAPI to cater to evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Core Development: Design and implement core application services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring seamless integration with front-end interfaces.
• Real-Time Data Handling: Manage real-time data processing and integrations, enhancing operational efficiency and providing timely notifications and reporting capabilities.
• Support & Maintenance: Engage in testing, issue resolution, release support, and production operations as needed, contributing to successful release management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous improvement and optimization of backend processes and services, utilizing Python and FastAPI where required.

Requirements

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java and Spring Boot.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in developing production-grade applications and designing APIs with a solid understanding of backend logic.
• Programming Knowledge: Familiarity with Python and FastAPI to contribute to various components of the application as needed.
• Database Proficiency: Experience with relational databases, providing efficient solutions for data storage and retrieval.
• Preferred Skills: Familiarity with real-time processing, event-driven architectures, and operational platforms to support dynamic data workflows.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in both Arabic and English, with strong communication skills to engage with diverse teams.
