Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and qualify new clients through phone-based lead generation activity (cold-calling)
  • Follow up on leads towards the goal of booking appointments or booking first-time trades
  • Guide prospects through the application process
  • Provide demonstrations of our online trading application to prospective clients

Metrics of Performance:

  • Create 12 appointments per month for National Account Managers
  • Book 4 first-time trade bookings per month
  • Open 4 new accounts per month
  • Send 8 corporate applications per month, identifying a return date
  • Deliver 4 online demonstrations to prospects per month
  • Perform a minimum of 50 outbound calls per day

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • 2 + years of sales experience
  • Post-secondary education (preferably in Commerce, Finance, Economics or Business Administration)

Key Abilities and Attributes:

  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to make 50+ outbound calls per day
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, towards prioritization of prospecting activity, application processing and account development
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a cohesively in a team environment
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm
  • Demonstrated relationship-building and negotiation skills needed to build credibility and rapport with clients over the phone
  • Ability to work in a team environment and build strong internal relationships
