Senior Chemist R&D (F/M/D)

Responsibilities:

• Drive chosen segment technically – to become the expert for the addressed segments

• Drive product development projects for the addressed segments

• Perform day to day experiments, reporting and documentation

• Manage R&D lab records and prepare lab reports

• Present the project results to the leadership team

• Co-ordinate with production team to scale up R&D batches

• Co-ordinate with Quality Assurance team to finalize the product specification

• Provide necessary support to Marketing Applications and Sales team to enhance the sale of new products

• Perform tests relative to the product development projects

• Overview the benchmarking tests for the dedicated segments

• Maintain and improve the established laboratory safety practices

• Maintain R&D test equipment and its assets

• Support to Sales and Marketing to create value argumentation on existing and new products

• Ensure compliance to Freudenberg HSE policies, objectives, standards, directives & guidelines

• • Co-ordinate with all concerned on effective handling of customer complaints

• Support to Production/Process Engineering team to improve first time yield

• Conduct relevant literature search and documentation of the same for future use

• Explore local raw material sources and evaluate potentially suitable raw material in existing product formulations to effect cost

• reduction and import substitute

• Drive technically and coordinate with Product Portfolio Manager, Sales, Marketing Application, Production, Quality Control,

• Purchase and global teams in Germany.

Qualifications:

• 6 to 10 years of experience with Postgraduate in Chemistry with strong R&D background in lubricant chemistry
• PhD is desirable
• Coordinate with Product Portfolio Manager, Sales, Marketing Application, Production, Quality Control, Purchase and global
• teams in Germany
• Manage and develop the personnel and working processes within the department.
• Ensure that site meets HSE Standards and Directives.
