Senior Estimator - Structural Steel

Yonkers Contracting Company, Inc. is seeking a qualified Senior Estimator with a minimum of 10 years of civil construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis of bid documents
• Define and quantify scopes of work
• Perform detail bid cost estimates using estimating software HCSS
• Research new materials and equipment for cost and constructability
• Solicit subcontractor proposals and perform a complete analysis
• Provide enhanced concepts for alternate material, equipment, and means-and-methods

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering or construction management
• Ability to estimate and price for multiple bids at one time
• Strong understanding of the greater NY, NJ, and CT construction markets
• Proficient in HCSS, Excel, and WORD
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, AGTEK on-screen takeoff, and ISQFT
