Structural Steel Engineer

Yonkers Contracting Company is seeking a qualified Structural Steel Project Engineer with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop specific work plans for erecting or demolishing structural steel bridges and sign structures. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Collaborate with structural design teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and requirements.
• Provide engineering support during the construction phase, addressing technical issues and resolving on-site issues related to structural steel fabrication and erection.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence. Ensure all project changes are documented and communicated effectively.
• Monitor project expenses and resource utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Proven experience in structural steel work for heavy civil construction projects
• Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards.
