What We’re Looking For:
The Senior Manager, Content Delivery oversees the end-to-end course implementation and operational management of online course presentations across the Executive Education portfolio for global university partners. This position ensures zero-defect platform setup, course cloning, cohort management, and strict quality assurance across all presentation lifecycles. By leading cross-functional delivery operations and driving continuous process improvements, this role guarantees operational continuity, academic integrity, and exceptional partner and learner outcomes.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Presentation Setup & Delivery Operations
- Lead end-to-end presentation setup, environment cloning, and master curriculum synchronization across live production platforms in alignment with Course Requirements Trackers.
- Oversee module release schedules, access gates, and cohort calendars to uphold university partner operating standards.
- Manage the configuration of gradebook algorithms, weighted evaluation criteria, and provisional grade release schedules to automate completion certification workflows.
- Direct the integration of custom LTIs, third party educational technology tools, including identity verification modules and social annotation platforms.
- Cohort Dynamics & Active Launch Execution
- Oversee dynamic cohort balancing, automated learner enrollment pipelines, and late-enrollment workflows across Class Groups, Small Groups, and Marking Groups.
- Coordinate the automated deployment of instructional discussion threads, welcome posts, and collaborative prompts on behalf of academic facilitation teams.
- Monitor post-launch group stabilization and execute manual group adjustments to maintain optimal facilitator-to-learner ratios.
- Governance, Quality Assurance & Escalation Management
- Establish multi-tiered quality assurance protocols – including infrastructure, timeline, and peer-review gates – to guarantee zero-defect presentation launches.
- Manage delivery risks, operational dependencies, and critical platform escalations to minimize impact on university partners and learner cohorts.
- Audit production workspace environments prior to official launch dates to validate learner visibility, permission hierarchies, and forum post fidelity.
- Drive accountability and effective engagement between 2U and third-party vendors on course build, delivery and escalation management.
- Operational Leadership & Process Optimization
- Manage multidisciplinary content and technical product delivery teams, creating structure, accountability, and consistent execution across complex operational workstreams.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating AI-assisted workflows and process enhancements to reduce turnaround times and increase operational capacity.
- Develop strategic performance metrics, service level agreement (SLA) tracking, and executive reporting for senior academic and operational leadership.
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
- 6+ years of experience in online education operations, educational technology, or complex technical service delivery, with at least 3+ years in a management capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Education, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Deep technical proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS), automated data pipelines, gradebook architecture, and LTI integrations.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management, SLA governance, process optimization, and senior stakeholder management within global higher education settings.
