Role Purpose
The Senior Social Media Marketing Manager serves as the strategic and operational leader of the brand’s organic social ecosystem.
This role is responsible for translating broader brand strategy into platform-native content strategies that drive engagement, audience growth, cultural relevance, and community connection across all priority channels. The position requires a deep understanding of platform behavior, audience psychology, engagement mechanics, short-form storytelling, and evolving social trends.
As the organization’s organic social subject matter expert, this individual is expected to maintain a strong pulse on what drives engagement across platforms and understand how content, tone, pacing, hooks, and creative formats differ between TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and emerging channels. This role will guide channel strategy implementation, content direction, publishing operations, community engagement, and performance optimization while leading a team of five social-focused team members.
This position is more elevated and strategic than a traditional Social Media Manager role while remaining highly hands-on in execution, optimization, and creative direction.

What You’ll Do
Organic Social Strategy & Execution
- Oversee and refine the organic social strategy established by the Head of Brand Marketing across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
- Translate broader brand strategy into platform-specific content strategies, publishing plans, engagement tactics, and social storytelling frameworks.
- Build and oversee weekly and monthly content calendars aligned with campaign priorities, launches, and seasonal initiatives.
- Lead platform-specific optimization efforts focused on engagement, retention, reach, discoverability, and audience growth.
- Ensure content remains culturally relevant, platform-native, and aligned with evolving social behaviors and trends.
Team Leadership & Social Direction
- Lead and develop a team of five social-focused team members, ensuring strong execution, accountability, collaboration, and creative consistency across channels.
- Act as the organization’s primary organic social subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance on platform behavior, engagement trends, content optimization, and channel evolution.
- Establish and refine platform-specific content strategies, social playbooks, engagement frameworks, and channel best practices.
- Translate brand strategy into scalable social storytelling frameworks that drive engagement while maintaining brand consistency.
- Mentor team members on creative ideation, storytelling structure, copy direction, trend adaptation, and performance optimization.
- Ensure the social organization remains agile, culturally aware, and aligned with evolving platform behaviors and content consumption trends.
Community Management
- Partner with Customer Service, Community and Brand Engagement teams to strengthen audience relationships and maintain strong brand sentiment.
- Identify opportunities for reactive content, trend participation, audience interaction and community-driven storytelling.
Creative Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Oversee the development and execution of social-first creative assets in collaboration with internal teams, external partners, creators, and in-house multimedia designers.
- Translate campaign priorities and brand strategy into clear social content briefs, deliverables, timelines, and approval workflows.
- Partner closely with Creative, Brand, Growth, Community, and Digital Commerce teams to ensure content aligns with brand standards, platform best practices, and business objectives.
- Manage feedback loops, revisions, and approvals across stakeholders to ensure efficient and high-quality creative execution.
- Ensure social content is optimized for platform-native engagement, discoverability, UGC integration, and multi-channel usage across organic social, paid media, email/SMS, and digital commerce touchpoints.
Performance Tracking & Optimization
- Monitor and analyze social performance across engagement, reach, audience growth, retention, saves, shares, and traffic contribution.
- Continuously test and optimize hooks, formats, posting cadence, series concepts, content structures, and engagement strategies.
- Deliver weekly performance updates and monthly reporting with actionable insights and optimization recommendations.
