Senior Product Manager - Conversion Optimisation
AI Summary
Leads a strategic project to transform Blackwall's Alerting System into a measurable, continuously optimised conversion engine, working across product, engineering, data and commercial teams.
About this role
Blackwall is a channel-first web security company protecting millions of websites through hosting providers around the world.
Every website connected to Blackwall initially operates in monitoring mode. Our platform analyses traffic in real time, detects malicious activity and generates security alerts that are delivered to website owners through our hosting partners.
These alerts are more than notifications - they are the primary conversion point of our business. They demonstrate value, build trust and help customers decide to upgrade from monitoring to active protection.
As Blackwall continues to scale globally, we are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead a strategic project focused on transforming our Alerting System into a measurable, continuously optimised conversion engine.
Reporting to the Head of Product, you will work across Product Engineering, Data Infrastructure, Sales and Partner Success to understand how alerts perform today, improve the customer experience through experimentation, and establish the standards that will underpin every future hosting partner deployment.
This is a highly cross-functional role at the intersection of product, data, engineering and commercial growth.
Role Details:
Role reports to: Head of Product
Engagement type: Freelancer/contractor agreement
Project duration: Initial 6-month contract
Location: remote within EMEA
Compensation: Paid position; rate depends on experience and location
What you'll do:
Develop a deep understanding of Blackwall's products, Alerting System and commercial model.
Analyse the end-to-end journey from technical event to customer conversion.
Establish meaningful measurement across the alert-to-conversion funnel.
Optimise messaging, timing, triggering logic, localisation and notification design to improve customer engagement and conversion.
Partner closely with Product Engineering and Data Infrastructure to ensure recommendations are technically robust and operationally scalable.
Develop repeatable standards, playbooks and implementation guidance for future hosting partners.
Recommend a long-term optimisation approach based on experimentation, customer insight and measurable outcomes.
What we're looking for:
Experience in Product Management, Growth Product Management, Monetisation, Lifecycle or Activation.
A track record of improving product adoption, activation or commercial conversion.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work comfortably with product and operational data.
Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams on product behaviour, workflows and customer journeys.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into intuitive customer experiences.
A pragmatic, hands-on approach with a bias towards experimentation, iteration and measurable outcomes.
Experience in cybersecurity, hosting, SaaS infrastructure or developer platforms would be advantageous but is not essential.
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and encourage all applicants to apply for our roles. We actively value and seek diverse talent!
