Brilent is a well-funded, award winning startup located in the Silicon Valley. We are building the next-generation, big data talent platform that aims to revolutionize the hiring ecosystem around the world. Our team consists of machine learning and data science experts and recruiting veterans from leading edge companies such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Microsoft.

We are looking for exceptional software engineers to scale our big data infrastructure and build innovative web and mobile products.

Responsibilities

• Create elegant engineering solutions to solve complicated business problems, including developing standalone applications as well as integrating our solutions with partners’ systems.
• Work closely with product and UX design teams to define product roadmap and feature specifications.
• Design and implement front-end interfaces, underlying APIs, and backend systems that process large volume of data in real time.
• Analyze and improve the scalability, stability and security of our products.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Java, C++, or Python development experience.
• Text mining and Natural Language Processing is a plus.
• Experience with business applications and enterprise software a big plus. Familiar with API design, distributed back end systems and concurrency techniques.
• Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, SQL and map-reduce architectures.
• Working knowledge of frontend web technologies (such as JavaScript and CSS) and mobile development a plus.
• Highly motivated, quick learner and strive for excellence.
• BS or higher in computer science or a related field.
