Senior Solutions Analyst

Overview

Black Canyon Consulting (BCC) is searching for a Senior Solutions Analyst to lead business process assessment, workflow modernization, and solution design activities across complex organizational environments. The Senior Solutions Analyst will work closely with leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams to identify operational inefficiencies, redesign processes, and develop practical solutions that improve efficiency, consistency, accountability, and compliance.

Job Description

The Senior Solutions Analyst will serve as a senior technical and analytical resource responsible for leading process assessments, discovery activities, workflow reengineering, and solution design efforts. This position will conduct comprehensive reviews of current-state processes, identify root causes of operational challenges, and develop future-state workflows that simplify activities, streamline approvals, clarify responsibilities, and reduce manual effort.

The Senior Solutions Analyst will also evaluate opportunities for automation and digital tools, develop high-quality process documentation and training materials, lead pilot testing activities, and work with leadership and stakeholders to support adoption and scaling of approved solutions.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience
• Experience leading business process analysis, process improvement, or workflow reengineering efforts
• Experience conducting current-state (“as-is”) process assessments
• Experience designing future-state (“to-be”) workflows
• Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, or workshops
• Experience developing end-to-end process maps and identifying key handoffs, dependencies, and bottlenecks
• Ability to identify root causes of process inefficiencies, delays, redundant activities, and operational failures
• Experience developing actionable process improvement recommendations
• Experience evaluating opportunities for automation, digital forms, workflow tools, or other technology-enabled improvements
• Experience creating SOPs, workflow diagrams, roles and responsibility matrices, templates, job aids, and training materials
• Experience leading pilot testing and evaluating process performance
• Strong analytical, facilitation, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with organizational leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams
• Ability to ensure solutions align with applicable policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements

Desired Skills

• Experience supporting federal government or similarly regulated environments
• Experience with business process reengineering or continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience developing process performance metrics or key performance indicators
• Experience evaluating cycle time, error rates, throughput, or similar operational measures
• Experience supporting organizational change management and solution adoption
• Experience developing governance or quality standards for analytical work products
• Experience evaluating automation or workflow-management technologies
• Experience leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives

Job Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive assessments of existing business processes and workflows
• Facilitate discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process review sessions
• Develop detailed current-state (“as-is”) process maps
• Identify root causes of inefficiencies, delays, handoff failures, redundant activities, and administrative burden
• Design comprehensive future-state (“to-be”) workflows
• Simplify process activities and streamline approvals and decision points
• Clarify roles, responsibilities, ownership, and accountability within redesigned processes
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual workload through automation, digital forms, and integrated tools
• Develop actionable recommendations for stakeholder and Government review
• Produce SOPs, workflow charts, roles and responsibility matrices, templates, job aids, and training materials
• Lead pilot implementation and testing activities
• Define and evaluate key indicators used to measure process performance
• Refine workflows and recommendations based on pilot results and stakeholder feedback
• Coordinate with organizational leadership and stakeholders to support adoption and scaling
• Ensure redesigned processes comply with applicable policies, internal controls, and federal requirements
• Provide guidance and quality oversight across solution-related work products
• Promote consistency in process analysis, documentation, and solution design activities
