Overview

Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced, high-impact Senior Technical Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team. In this role, you will lead full-lifecycle recruiting strategies to attract, engage, and hire top-tier engineering and technical talent across our hardware, software, and advanced aerospace teams. You will partner directly with hiring managers and engineering leaders to drive talent strategy, optimize selection processes, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-lifecycle recruitment for complex, high-priority engineering and technical roles across multiple business units

• Partner with engineering leaders and hiring managers to define role requirements, develop targeted sourcing strategies, and establish selection criteria

• Proactively source and engage passive candidates through creative direct sourcing methods, network activation, and specialized channels

• Manage the complete candidate pipeline, ensuring clear communication, rigorous screening, and an exceptional candidate experience at every stage

• Drive offer strategy, compensation alignment, and closing processes in partnership with Talent Acquisition leadership and HR Business Partners

• Analyze recruiting metrics and leverage data insights to refine sourcing strategies, reduce time-to-hire, and improve pipeline health

• Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous process improvements across the Talent Acquisition organization

Required

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of full-lifecycle technical recruiting experience (or 8+ years of equivalent practical recruiting experience in lieu of a degree)

• Demonstrated track record of successfully sourcing and hiring specialized engineering or technical talent in competitive markets

• Expertise in candidate sourcing strategies, including direct search, Boolean syntax, and talent mapping

• Strong stakeholder management skills with proven ability to advise and influence hiring managers at all organizational levels

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail and process execution

Desired

• Experience recruiting within aerospace, aviation, automotive, or high-tech manufacturing industries

• Hands-on experience using iCIMS or similar enterprise Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

• Proven ability to thrive in a rapid-growth, engineering-centric environment with evolving priorities

Additional Information

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $125,900 - $173,100/year. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
