Role purpose. Deliver high-quality, route-based pest-management services — general pest, rodent, lawn & plant, and supporting termite/Sentricon and heat-treatment work — to residential and commercial customers across the three Cayman Islands, to Pestkil's quality, safety and customer-service standards, using IPM principles.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough interior and exterior inspections to identify pests, conducive conditions, entry points and activity, and determine the appropriate IPM-led treatment.
  • Apply approved treatments — baits, traps, targeted application, monitoring devices, exclusion advice — strictly per product label and SDS.
  • Complete assigned daily routes and scheduled service visits efficiently; minimize drive time and meet appointment windows.
  • Educate customers on findings and prevention; build trusting relationships and represent the brand professionally.
  • Record all work accurately in PestPac — service notes, materials used, device readings, photos and recommendations — at each stop.
  • Identify and pass on upsell, cross-sell and additional-work opportunities.
  • Keep the vehicle, equipment and chemical stock clean, calibrated, secure and well-stocked.
  • Support termite, Sentricon monitoring and heat-treatment jobs under supervision as competence grows.
  • Respond to callbacks and re-treatments promptly and learn from them.

Health & safety responsibilities

  • Wear and maintain all label-required PPE on every job; never deviate from label PPE.
  • Follow safe mixing, loading, transport, storage and disposal procedures; keep SDS accessible; follow the company hazard-communication program.
  • Carry out a basic site hazard assessment before work and post warnings where required.
  • Report all incidents, near-misses, spills and vehicle events immediately to the supervisor.
  • Comply with Cayman Islands Department of Agriculture pesticide-handling and import requirements and complete the DoA Safe Use and Handling of Pesticide Products training.

Competency framework

  • Technical / pest-control Working knowledge of pest ID, biology and treatment selection for common pests; safe equipment use.
  • IPM & safety Understands the IPM hierarchy (prevention, monitoring, control); label/SDS literacy; PPE discipline.

  • Route / service completion rate (target ≥ 95–100% of scheduled stops).

  • Quality — callback / re-treatment rate ≤ 3%.
  • Customer satisfaction — zero avoidable complaints.
  • Safety compliance — PPE and label adherence; zero preventable incidents; clean vehicle/equipment inspections.
  • Documentation accuracy in PestPac
  • Sales — technician-generated leads passed and converted.

Qualifications & experience

Essential

  • Five years’ minimum working experience as an in-field technician in a reputable Pest Control company.
  • Customer facing experience across Residential and Commercial accounts
  • Basic knowledge of pest biology and behaviors is required
  • Secondary education to a good standard; literacy and basic numeracy to follow label mixing instructions.
  • Valid clean Cayman Islands driver's license.
  • Physically able to perform the work (lifting ~35–50 lb, ladders, crawl spaces, attics, varied conditions).
  • NPMA QualityPro-style core training, or willingness to pass an equivalent exam.
