Maine Technical Source is seeking a Service Technician to work from their office and showroom in Syracuse, NY. This position is responsible for equipment repair and completing service to factory specifications, as well as supporting the office manager with administrative tasks. The Service Technician may also provide customer service, sales and warehouse support as needed.

Requirements of the Service Technician:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • High level of technical aptitude a must

  • Computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office

  • Firm working knowledge of industry concepts, practices and procedures. Familiarity with service equipment and its function

  • Advanced project and process management abilities

  • Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form

  • Ability to work independently and with a team. Must have willingness to pitch in and help with any/all tasks that are needed in the office during the workday

Responsibilities of the Service Technician:

  • Providing customer support and service for all products sold

  • Managing the service pipeline and turnaround time

  • Completing service projects to factory specifications

  • Providing estimates and purchase orders for customers

  • Checking and calibrating new equipment prior to sale

  • Coordinating with sales team to build relationships with customers

  • Assisting with in-store sales and support
