Site Assistant

The Role

We are seeking a Site Assistant to join our Construction team in Calgary, Alberta.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands on, working outdoors, and being part of afast-pacedconstruction environment. As a Site Assistant, you will work alongside the Site Superintendent to ensure homes are built safely, efficiently, and to Akash standards.

You will play a critical role inmaintainingjob site organization, supporting inspections, and helping ensure trade partners meet quality expectations. This is a strong entry point into residential construction with exposure to multiple phases of the build process and opportunities for long term growth.

Top 3 Priorities for Your First 6 Months

1. Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites that support efficiency and reflect Akash standards.
2. Support quality control processes by assisting with inspections, identifying deficiencies, and ensuring completed work meets expectations.
3. Develop strong working relationships with Site Superintendents, trades, and project team members to help keep builds on schedule.

WhatYou’llOwn

• Maintain clean and organized job sites, including waste removal, sweeping, vacuuming, and snow clearing whenrequired.

• Ensure safe access to homes under construction bymaintainingpathways and temporary walkways.

• Support quality control efforts by preparing sites for inspections and performing generallabourtasks.

• Conduct site inspections andassistwith quality checks to help ensure work meets Akash standards.

• Coordinate with Site Supervisors and Project Managersregardingmaterial deliveries, timelines, and workflow priorities.

• Support and reinforcehigh standardswith trade partners and subcontractors to helpmaintaintimelines and quality expectations.

• Perform minor repair and finishing tasks including framing adjustments, drywall touch ups, painting, deck stair and railing installation, and similar small scope construction work.

• Safelyoperatehand tools and power tools to complete assigned site tasks.

WhatYou’llBring

• Experience in generallabouror residential construction is preferred.

• Understandingbasic construction principles and job site safety practices.

• Strong time management and organizational skills in afast-pacedenvironment.

• Proactiveproblem-solvingability and willingness to take initiative.

• Comfort using hand tools and power tools.

• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

• Physical capability to lift materials and work in varying weather conditions.

• Reliable transportation. A truck is preferred. A clean Driver’s Abstract isrequired.
