What You'll Bring (Experience)

• Minimum 2 years of experienced Employees specializing in SMSF Accounting

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.

• Working knowledge of Australia Super legislation

• Able to work independently and deliver to agreed deadlines with a result driven approach and a good work ethic

• Strong client centricity

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Willing to work fully onsite BGC, Dayshift (AU)

About You (Soft Skills)

• Works well both independently and as part of a team

• Highly detail-oriented with strong accuracy in all tasks

• Excellent time management; proficient in Word and Excel,BGL Simple Fund Software

• Able to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting

• Strong communication skills — fluent in written and spoken English

• Great at problem-solving, analysis, and research

Your Impact Starts Here

• Accurate preparation of tax returns for Superannuation Funds.

• Accurate preparation of financial accounts for Superannuation Funds.

• Accurate preparation of TBAR’s.

• Accurate preparation of Business Activity Statements.

• Liaise with Australian Taxation Office.

• Identify and attend to all related tax matters for clients including but not limited to excess contributions, transfer balance caps, Division 293’s, total super balances.

• Keep abreast of superannuation tax legislation changes and maintain comprehensive knowledge.

• Prepare and maintain adequate working papers that support assumptions made and opinions given in accordance with firm procedures.

• Prepare and maintain adequate permanent documentation that support superannuation changes.

• Build effective relations with clients where appropriate.

• Support the partner/manager by taking initiative in preparing succinct workpapers and query sheets.

• Be proactive in keeping the manager/partner aware of your workflow.

• Be aware of urgency of various jobs and workflow.

• Regularly collaborate with manager/partner.

• Knowledge on the usage of superannuation accounting package BGL Super

• Daily preparation of timesheets.
