Software Developer - AI Centric / Intent Driven Development

About Us

IDX Games is looking for a Software Developer to grow our development team. As a Software Developer, you will be involved in developing our product using AI centric tools like Claude, Codex, Cursor, etc. You will work together with project managers, UX/UI designers, business / product team to create world-class gaming products for the casino / gaming industry.

About this Role:

We are not looking for developers who use AI as a sidekick for autocomplete. We operate a fully AI-driven, high-performance engineering pipeline.

In our team, code generation is cheap—judgment, architecture, and intent are the actual work. We expect our developers to operate at a high-output, elite technical standard: thinking deeply about business intent, directing AI agents to execute, and rigorously verifying the results before they hit production.

How We View Roles:

We do not categorize our developers into traditional, siloed titles like frontend, backend, full stack, DevOps, or QA. Instead, we are an AI-forward team composed of:

• Builders / Prototypers: Fast execution to bring initial product intent to life.
• Growers / Scalers: Architecting and expanding features to handle production load.
• Maintainers: Ensuring long-term system stability, reliability, and security.
• Perfectors: Polishing UX, performance, and fine-tuning details.

We operate as a unified engineering unit using AI to build the best products and solutions possible.

How We Work (No Agile Bureaucracy):

We run sprints, but we do not run traditional Agile.

• No stories, no effort points, no backlog grooming marathons.
• We use Intent-Driven Development (IDD).
• You are given high-level product intent and specification plans. You own the execution path from architectural design to deployment. But you are never the lone executor, other team members is there to help.
• You will spend less time in status meetings and more time orchestrating specs, building harnesses, and shipping production systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Product Intent: Translate high-level business goals into precise spec plans and execution prompts for AI agents.
• Orchestrate & Verify: Direct AI workflows to generate code rapidly while rigorously auditing outputs for edge cases, missing assertions, and security flaws.
• Ship End-to-End Features: Build and maintain scalable backend and frontend services (Godot, Go, PostgreSQL, REST, WebSockets).
• Own Quality Control: Design the constraints, types, and test harnesses that make high-volume code generation safe at scale.

What We Are Looking For:

• Beyond-Coding Mindset: You focus on product architecture and underlying intent rather than typing lines of code manually.
• High-Performance Execution: You thrive in an environment where output and velocity are significantly higher than traditional software dev studio.
• Relentless Verification: You know the failure modes of generated code (hallucinated endpoints, swallowed errors, race conditions) and catch them before QA does. Even better if you can create QA loop to AI engineering those condition out of the development process.
• Fast Adaptability: You learn new frameworks, codebases, or languages in days, not months.

Tech Requirements & Experience:

• 3+ years of production software development experience (Any core stack).
• Strong working knowledge of REST, WebSockets, Kafka, Database, Linux CLI, and Git.
  
• Active, daily reliance on advanced AI tools for complex production tasks.
• Familiar with modern software architecture, software security policy and the underlying technologies (ie: SSL/TLS, JWT, Modern Auth & Token Lifecycle, AES Encryption, etc)
• Bonus (Not required): Experience with Godot, Go, PostgreSQL, C++, or regulated gaming/casino systems.

What We Don't Care About:

• Computer Science Degrees: If you have one, great, but it is not a strict requirement. If you do hold a degree, we prefer a background in Software Engineering or Business Analytics—people who can quickly understand business processes and high-level software architecture.
• Prior Engine Experience: If you ramp up fast, you will learn our specific game tools and engine immediately.
• Generic Code Portfolios: We don't care about your previous generic code portfolio. We care much more about your AI orchestration artifacts—show us your AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, custom prompts, execution loops, or custom skills/tools you’ve crafted for your AI coding IDE.
