Software Engineer: Frontend

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer: Frontend based in the United States.

As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll build intuitive, high-performance interfaces for an AI-powered business communication platform. You’ll turn complex communication and automation capabilities into simple, engaging experiences for users. The role spans the full product development lifecycle, from research and planning through implementation, testing, launch, and monitoring. You’ll work on rich, interactive applications involving data fetching, manipulation, visualization, and real-time experiences. You’ll have significant ownership and the opportunity to tackle challenging frontend projects in a fast-moving startup environment. Collaboration happens across a globally distributed, asynchronous engineering team where clear written communication is essential. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys turning product ideas into polished, reliable user experiences.

• Design and develop intuitive, interactive frontend experiences that make sophisticated communication and automation capabilities accessible to users.

• Build frontend architectures that efficiently support data fetching, mutation, rendering, and complex user interactions.

• Take product initiatives from research and requirements gathering through technical planning, implementation, deployment, and evaluation.

• Create Engineering Requirement Documents that translate ideas into clearly defined tasks and actionable implementation plans.

• Develop comprehensive unit and end-to-end test suites to maintain application quality, performance, and reliability.

• Integrate product analytics and monitoring to measure the success and usage of newly launched features.

• Contribute to sophisticated frontend products and interfaces, such as mobile applications, data-filtering tools, analytics dashboards, data grids, and reusable design systems.

• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle while working effectively in a predominantly asynchronous environment.

• Communicate technical designs, implementation approaches, trade-offs, and potential solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Work independently on agreed projects while proactively seeking input and support from the wider team when needed.

• Participate in a structured, paid work-trial project designed to provide a practical mutual assessment before a potential full-time offer.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, particularly for building interactive applications that efficiently fetch, mutate, manage, and render data.

• Professional experience developing modern frontend applications and translating product requirements into reliable, user-friendly interfaces.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain ideas, designs, and technical solutions clearly in a mostly asynchronous environment.

• A desire to participate in the full product development lifecycle, from research and planning through implementation, deployment, and monitoring.

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and make progress in a fast-paced, globally distributed startup environment.

• Strong attention to user experience, application performance, maintainability, and reliability.

• Fluency in written English is required; strong spoken English is also advantageous.

• Comfortable collaborating remotely with colleagues across different countries and time zones.

• Availability to participate in recurring team meetings on Mondays and Fridays at 2:30 PM GMT.

• Ability to commit to a two-week full-time paid work trial as part of the mutual assessment process.

• Experience with technologies and concepts such as React, React Native, component-based design systems, data visualization, interactive data grids, or API-driven applications is advantageous.

• Compensation is determined based on role, level, location, market data, relevant skills, education, certifications, and professional experience.
