About this role
SAGKEENG CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (SCFS) is looking for a FULL-TIME Speech-Language Pathologist. You practice empathy, understanding and patience. You promote a safe therapeutic environment. You will be joining a creative, initiative, and dynamic multi-disciplinary team. You are knowledgeable of SCFS, Sagkeeng First Nation and Indigenous culture. This position reports to SCFS Biidaaziiway Gamik Clinical Supervsor - Specialized Services.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment and consultation to determine treatment goals/programming.
- Experience with preschoolers, school age children and pre-teens since this is the majority of the clientele seen in the centre.
- Liaise with families by way of support personnel to provide necessary updates to families on the progression of treatment goals and modify treatment goals as needed for subsequent treatment blocks.
- Work as part of a caring team of collaborative professionals which compliment communication disorders.
- Offer services within a neuro-divergent affirming setting.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology and/or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Eligibility and/or registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (Reg. CASLPM)
