Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group sports instruction in accordance with the curriculum and the needs of each student.
- Provide differentiated sports instruction based on the student’s individual level of learning modalities and offer alternatives during classes to accommodate different levels of fitness and skills.
- Provide a positive role model of appropriate and respectful interactions with students and staff and facilitate the development of confidence, character and community.
- Motivate each student to cultivate physical fitness, hygienic habits and good social and emotional adjustment.
- Develop strength, skill, agility, poise, and coordination in individual, dual, team physical activities and sports, in accordance with each student’s ability while teaching cognitive concepts related to motor skills and fitness.
Qualifications:
• Successful coaching experience with adolescents in grades K-12.
• A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate, build confidence, character and inspire student-athletes
• Commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive community
• Plan and manage positive, engaging practices
• Oversee the development and progress of each child on their team
• Complete end of season student-athlete assessments

Requirements:
- Ability to conduct recreational activities with youth equipment operation.
- Ability to participate in physical activities such as field sports, and physical team building activities.
- Serve as a positive role model to all athletes.
- Must be punctual and organized.
- Assist athletes in both physical and emotional needs.
- Genuinely care; engage and participate with campers.
- Problem solve through situations and seek assistance when necessary.
- Facilitate and/or Co-Facilitate structured and unstructured activities.
- Attend all sports staff meetings
- Help to maintain and secure all equipment and supplies of the program.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, caring, respectful environment.
