Storekeeper

Job Purpose

The job incumbent’s main responsibilities will be to receive, maintain and ensure the distribution of the materials / spare parts.

Main Responsibilities

• 
  Ensure to make available the right parts in the right quantity to the right place at the right time with the right level of quality, for repairs and sales
• 
  Ensure stock is at the least total cost to the organization, without compromising availability
• 
  Perform weekly cycle counts and other stock inventories and prepare reports on same and all other stock related matters
• 
  Ensure work of subordinates is carried out within set deadlines in a complete and accurate manner and as per company rules and regulations and established service standards
• 
  Ensure register and returns of DOA and other unused items to suppliers against credit notes
• 
  Maintain security and control of storeroom and storage areas
• 
  Attend to all customers’ and employees’ requests/ queries for any spare parts
• 
  Promote sales of spare parts
• 
  Build and maintain relationships with customers
• 
  Process and follow-up on customers’ requests/queries and provide prompt feedback
• 
  Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of stores

Profile

• 
  SC or HSC
• 
  A minimum 2 years’ work experience in the relevant field
• 
  Excellent organizational skills
• 
  Detail oriented
• 
  Having a high sense of customer primacy (internal and external)
• 
  Ability to lead and motivate a team to perform to the best of their capabilities
• 
  Ability to following through on issues in a timely manner
• 
  Able to work independently as well as a part of team
