About this role
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Location: London (hybrid-working)
Closing Date: 12 October 2026
About the role
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially astute Strategic Education Sales Manager to identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across the UK and Ireland. This role combines strategic partnership development with proactive sales activity, creating growth through both individual schools and larger education organisations, including Multi-Academy Trusts, independent school groups, Music Hubs and other education providers.
You will be responsible for generating and converting new business opportunities, building relationships with decision-makers at all levels, and developing a strong pipeline of prospects across a range of customer types. Some opportunities will involve working directly with individual schools, while others will require engaging with senior leaders across larger organisations to shape longer-term partnerships and scalable solutions.
Taking a consultative and insight-led approach, you will invest time in understanding customers' priorities, challenges and ambitions, then work with them to identify how Trinity College London's Music, Performing Arts and, where appropriate, English Language offer can support their goals. You will be comfortable balancing shorter-term sales opportunities with more complex, strategic sales cycles that involve multiple stakeholders and longer decision-making processes.
Success in this role will come from your ability to proactively identify opportunities, build relationships, convert new business and create sustainable growth. You'll be expected to develop a healthy pipeline across both individual education providers and larger strategic accounts, delivering measurable growth in revenue and candidate numbers while positioning Trinity as a trusted education partner. You will also build on initial school wins and pilots, working with colleagues to expand successful relationships across more schools, learner groups and subject areas.
About you
You are a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys creating opportunities, building relationships and securing new business. Whether engaging directly with an individual school or leading discussions with senior stakeholders across a large education organisation, you can quickly build credibility, understand customer needs and articulate the value of tailored solutions.
You have a proven track record of proactively generating leads, developing opportunities and closing new business. You are equally comfortable managing shorter sales cycles with individual schools and navigating more complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders, formal procurement processes and longer-term organisational change initiatives.
You are naturally curious, commercially minded and confident in challenging thinking constructively to help customers identify opportunities they may not have previously considered. You combine strategic thinking with a strong focus on delivery, consistently turning opportunities into commercial outcomes.
You'll bring:
- Proven sales success in education or a comparable market, with personal accountability for new business targets.
- Experience generating and closing individual school or comparable customer opportunities, as well as developing larger opportunities with senior decision-makers.
- Experience managing a diverse sales pipeline, ranging from individual customer opportunities to larger, more complex accounts.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify, qualify and convert growth opportunities.
- Experience building compelling organisational and commercial business cases.
- A consultative, insight-led approach that starts with customer challenges and desired outcomes.
- Excellent communication, influencing, presentation and negotiation skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively across teams to bring together expertise and develop tailored solutions.
- Strong planning and pipeline management skills, with a focus on achieving commercial targets and sustainable growth.
Experience of selling into the education sector, particularly schools, Multi-Academy Trusts or other education organisations, would be highly advantageous, as would experience within EdTech, assessment, qualifications, SaaS or education services environments.
This role would suit someone who enjoys proactively creating and winning new business opportunities, developing relationships with schools and education leaders, shaping solutions around customer needs and converting opportunities into meaningful, long-term growth.
