We are looking for a System- and Database- Administrator (f/m/d) to join our AddApptr Team in the beautiful city of Hamburg. If you diagnose and resolve problems quickly, automate where it makes sense, monitor what is always needed and stay on top of things - You would be a great match! You are also made for this role if you are patient, communicative, helpful with a variety of interdisciplinary and intercultural users while ensuring our infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications

Must have requirements

• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Database Administrator, or similar role.
• Familiar with various operating systems and platforms including Debian Linux.
• Familiar with deployment/configuration/management solutions, e.g. SaltStack, Puppet or Chef.
• Familiar with virtualization tools (Docker).
• Database management (MySQL, column based databases).
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery ▪ Resourcefulness and problem-solving attitude
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.

Nice to have requirements

• Knowledge and experience in the most common big data projects (Kafka, Redis, Hadoop, Druid, Elastic, ClickHouse etc.)
• Knowledge of the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
• Ability to create scripts in Bash, PHP and Python, Perl or other scripting language(s)
• Experience with networks (WiFi, LAN, WAN) is a plus
• Professional certification is a plus
