Responsibilities:

  • Preparing complexHedge Fund or Private Equitypartnership tax returns.

  • Detailed review and analysis of Tax returns.

  • Performing, documenting, and summarizing research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues.

  • Develop, motivate, and train staff level and intern team members.

  • Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, concerns, etc.

  • Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce,Accounting or related field

  • 1+ years of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional or local accounting firm; or equivalent in industry or with a law firm

  • Experience preparing and reviewing returns

  • Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance

  • Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters of Accounting, Masters of Taxation or MBA preferred

  • Active CPA, EA, CA.

  • Strong technical skills in accounting, tax preparation and review within the Asset Management industry
