About this role
World Animal Protection is creating a new leadership role to bring unified strategic direction to our Technology, Digital, and Data capabilities. This is a rare opportunity to make this role your own and build the foundations that will shape how we make technology decisions, manage data responsibly, and deliver digital products for years to come.
As Technology, Digital, and IT Director, you'll be the single point of accountability across three interconnected domains. You'll design the technology architecture that every future system decision gets measured against. You'll build a data governance framework that makes every Directorate an accountable data controller in its own right. And you'll create connections across platforms that result in a coherent digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
We are offering a competitive salary and benefits including:
- 7-hour workday (30 min lunch) - 35-hour week (fulltime)
- Public holiday swap options (except Christmas, Boxing and NY Day)

- Formal and informal Time Off In-Lieu (TOIL) programme
- Anniversary leave - a type of gifted leave through length of service - One additional day of leave after each anniversary date, up to a maximum of five days.
- Wellbeing Leave - types of wellbeing leave:
- Wellbeing Leave/Mental Health Leave “Doona Days” (10 days)
- Bereavement/Compassionate Leave (10 days)
- Disability Leave (10 days)
- Menstrual and Menopause Leave (12 days)
- Pregnancy Loss Leave (10 days)
- Fertility Treatment Leave (5 days per cycle, up to max 3 cycles)
- Companion animal bereavement Leave (2 days)
- ‘Pawternity’ leave🐾 (time to settle a new companion animal) (2 days)
- Gender Affirming Medical Leave (20 days)
