We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with extensive expertise in telecommunication, centralized control, and signaling systems for rail transit infrastructure. In this critical role, you will serve as the Telecommunication, Centralized Control and Signaling Manager, overseeing the supervision of installation, testing, and commissioning of all telecommunication, centralized control, and signaling systems for Metro and electrified Rail Transit projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and operational readiness of these essential transport infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of all telecommunication, centralized control, and signaling infrastructure for Metro and electrified Rail Transit projects
• Organize and oversee the technical execution of system installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards
• Conduct comprehensive testing protocols and validate system performance prior to operational deployment
• Manage the commissioning process to ensure all telecommunication and signaling systems are fully operational and integrated with transport infrastructure
• Coordinate with engineering teams and contractors to ensure seamless installation and integration of control systems
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, testing reports, and commissioning records
• Monitor system performance during testing phases and identify optimization opportunities
• Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and testing phases, implementing effective solutions to maintain project timelines
• Ensure compliance with telecommunications and rail transit industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships to support system implementations and installations
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to installation and testing teams
• Develop strategic recommendations for system architecture and infrastructure improvements
• Allocate resources and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of installation and commissioning activities

 

Qualifications

• 20+ years of professional experience in railway/rail transit telecommunications systems and infrastructure
• 7+ years of hands-on experience managing centralized control systems, SCADA systems, and signaling protocols in rail transit environments
• Demonstrated experience with Operations Control Center (OCC) systems and rail signaling technologies
• Proven experience leading and managing technical teams in railway telecommunications and control system environments
• Strong knowledge of rail signaling technologies and protocols (SS7, SIGTRAN, Diameter, etc.)
• Expertise in rail transit network architecture and centralized control system design
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues in rail systems
• Proficiency with SCADA monitoring tools and rail telecommunications management systems
• Experience with rail-specific telecommunications software platforms and control system applications
• Demonstrated project management capabilities and ability to manage multiple rail transit initiatives simultaneously
• Strong vendor management and stakeholder communication skills in the rail transit sector
• Knowledge of rail transit industry standards, safety protocols, and compliance requirements
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in technical documentation and process development for rail systems
• Experience with system optimization and performance tuning in rail transit environments
• Preferred: Certification in telecommunications, rail systems management, or network management
• Preferred: Experience with emerging rail transit technologies and system evolution
