Test Manager – Defect Management (m/f/d)

Part strategist, part problem-solver, part quality champion—You make sure great software reaches users, not defects.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end defect management process across the project, excluding defects originating from development unit tests

• Continuously refine and optimise the existing defect management processes and overall defect management approach

• Ensure fast and direct communication between all involved stakeholders throughout the defect lifecycle

• Drive the prioritisation and resolution of critical defects, ensuring they receive immediate attention and the highest level of priority

• Monitor adherence to the defined defect management process and escalate process deviations to project management when required

• Organise and facilitate regular as well as ad-hoc defect management meetings

• Maintain defect statistics and reporting

• Analyse defect statistics to identify recurring development weaknesses and quality issues

• Support continuous improvements of the defect management process through data-driven insights

Requirements

Required Technical & Professional Expertise

• Experience in the field of Financial Market Data

• Strong understanding of defect management processes and defect lifecycle governance

• Proven ability to enforce defect management processes and standards

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Assertive and proactive working style

• Experience in organising and moderating defect management meetings

• Experience in maintaining defect statistics and reporting

• Ability to identify development weaknesses through defect trend and statistical analysis

• Familiarity with database queries and the ability to independently create low-complexity queries
