Tool Room Assistant

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Tool Room Assistant supports and documents thecorporate tool room overflow with outside shops, receives completed tool room work, and delivers it tointernalcustomers. This role is also responsible forassistingwith incoming tool room work requests.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Document Tool Room measurestracking onspreadsheets.

• Order custom components from outside machine shops.

• Create and resolve purchase requisitions for tool room orders.

• Answer questions about 3D CAD drawings fromsupplybase.

• Track orders and coordinate with the project management team.

• Deliver completed worktointernal customers.

• Develop working relationships with suppliers.

• Work with suppliers for quantity discounts and bulkpurchases.

• Research pricing and availability of components for Engineers and other personnel.

• Organize and keep track of standard tooling components with tool crib.

• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING

• 2+ years of experienceworking with inventory tracking systems.

• Proficiencyin Microsoft Office.

• Experiencewithrecordkeeping.

• Self-motivation.

• Must be available to work overtime as needed.

• Validdriver'slicense.

WHAT WILL HELP

• Experienceoperatingastand-up or sit-downlift truckor fork truck.

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical,vacuum,andpneumaticssystems.

• Experience in AutoCAD andSolidworks.
