Transformer Assembly Technician

Are you mechanically inclined and ready to build technology that powers a cleaner planet? Join Dynapower, a Sensata Technologies company, as a Transformer Assembly Technician and help build the transformers that go into our high-power rectifiers, cast transformers, and oil-filled transformers. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on mechanical experience or a strong mechanical aptitude. You'll make $20 to $30 per hour, get a $2000 signing bonus, AND you'll be eligible for ALL benefits on your first day!

What You'll Be Doing

On an average day, you’ll

• Measure and adjust coil windings, spacing and blocking according to engineering specifications.
• Assemble and finish transformer coils, incl. interphases, chokes, and core assemblies.
• Complete interleaving and stacking of transformer core yokes.
• Operate varnish dipping, vacuum, and bake oven equipment as part of the finishing process.
• Put safety first, all day every day.

What You Need To Apply

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Mechanical aptitude and experience
• Gas brazing and soldering experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and parts list

Work Environment

This is a full-time, non-exempt position scheduled from Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - we have flexible hours, allowing you to start your day anytime between 6 and 8 a.m. This position works in a manufacturing production environment. This role routinely uses standard personal protective equipment such as required Safety Glasses and Safety shoes, as well as head and hearing protection and gloves, as required.

Specific abilities required by this job include prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and frequently pinching and/or gripping.

• Frequently observe, detect, discern, and convey information. Specific abilities required by this job include near, far and color vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• Requires good manual dexterity and coordination, and stamina. Specific abilities required by this job include the frequent requirement of overtime work.

This position requires eligibility to obtain authorization under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Non-US Persons, as defined in the ITAR and EAR, may not be eligible to obtain authorization.
