Key Responsibilities
As a Technology Underwriter, you'll be responsible for developing and managing a profitable portfolio of technology business across multiple classes, including Professional Indemnity (E&O), Cyber and General Liability. You'll work closely with brokers and colleagues to evaluate risks, deliver outstanding service, and help drive innovation across the product offering.
- Underwriting new business and renewal opportunities
- Building and strengthening broker relationships to identify and secure profitable growth opportunities.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to brokers, explaining product features, coverage enhancements and market developments.
- Delivering presentations to internal and external audiences o
- Researching emerging technologies, legislation and regulatory developments to inform underwriting decisions and product innovation.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced members of the underwriting team.
- Contributing to strategic projects, including product enhancements, new product launches and process improvements.
- Supporting the achievement of team growth, retention and profitability objectives.
- Representing CFC at broker meetings and market events
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
We are looking for a driven self-starter with a strong work ethic who can contribute to a fast-paced working environment and excel within a high performance team.
- Significant underwriting or broking experience within technology, cyber or professional indemnity/E&O
- Strong technical knowledge of E&O, technology or cyber insurance products, with experience across multiple lines of business.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, combined with exceptional attention to detail.
- The communication skills and credibility to present to brokers, colleagues and clients in both small and large group settings.
- A genuine interest in emerging technologies and the evolving risks facing technology companies.
You will be expected to work at a high pace and intensity that underpins the successful framework of the CFC business and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support our ambitious growth plans.
