About the Role

Review and underwrite new business applications in accordance with underwriting guidelines, delegated authority and service commitments. Handle complex underwriting cases and provide technical support to team members and distribution channels to improve underwriting quality and efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Underwrite new business applications accurately and within delegated authority;

- Re-underwrite POS and Claims cases;

- Review and assess complex underwriting cases, including retrospective reviews, abnormal health disclosures, complaints and appeals;

- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to team members on underwriting matters;

- Support underwriting workshops and knowledge sharing sessions for distribution teams;

- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend practical solutions to enhance underwriting efficiency and service quality;

- Support cross-functional initiatives related to underwriting and customer onboarding;

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

- Education: University graduate

- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in life insurance underwriting

- Technical skill: Proficiency in MS Office and underwriting software,

- Highly advanced knowledge of life insurance operation service

- Certifications/licenses: LOMA 280, LOMA 290

- Customer Service Mindset: Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality service and resolving complex customer inquiries

- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Other skills: negotiation, problem solving, influence, agility
