Venue Manager

Love British pub culture, live music and a packed sports bar? The Duke is looking for a creative, driven Venue Manager to lead the team and build on its reputation as a local favourite.

A modern British venue with traditional pub character, The Duke brings together a TAB and sports bar, weekend DJs and live bands, weekly specials and a dining room offering table service.

With a refurbishment planned for early next year—including a family-friendly beer garden, children’s playground and large outdoor TV—this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the venue’s next chapter.

About the role

• Lead daily operations and deliver memorable guest experiences
• Drive sales and profitability through strong financial and operational management
• Develop sporting events, British-themed activations and live entertainment
• Build strong relationships with regulars and the local community
• Recruit, coach and develop a passionate team
• Lead the team through the refurbishment and make the most of the expanded offering
• Maintain high standards of service, presentation, safety and compliance

About you

You’re an experienced hospitality leader with a creative approach, strong commercial awareness and a genuine understanding of British pub culture. You know how to turn ideas into events that bring people through the doors and keep them coming back.

You’ll bring:

• Venue management experience and confidence managing financial performance
• Experience with sports-led venues, live music and community engagement
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide a team through change
• A hands-on approach and a passion for building a venue’s reputation
• Relevant WA liquor licensing qualifications
• Availability across nights, weekends and public holidays
