As a Vocational Counselor, you’ll connect talent with opportunity while making a meaningful impact in the King George community.

What You’ll Do

• Help individuals identify strengths, interests, and career goals.
• Develop individualized employment plans and provide career guidance.
• Support resumes, applications, interviews, job readiness, and onboarding.
• Provide one-on-one and on-site job coaching.
• Build relationships with King George-area employers and identify employment opportunities.
• Help address workplace barriers through accommodations, assistive technology, and natural supports.
• Track progress and maintain accurate documentation.

What We’re Looking For

You qualify through one of the following pathways:

Required:

• A relevant work or life experience
  supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with current insurance.
• Willingness to travel throughout the service area.
• Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screenings.

Experience in the following is a plus:

• Vocational rehabilitation
• Employment services or job coaching
• Workforce development
• Human or disability services
• Case management
• Working with veterans or individuals with disabilities
