As a Vocational Counselor, you’ll connect people with opportunities while building relationships with individuals, employers, and the local community.

What You’ll Do

• Identify clients’ strengths, interests, and career goals.
• Develop individualized employment plans and provide career guidance.
• Assist with resumes, applications, interview preparation, and job readiness.
• Provide job coaching and support during onboarding and employment.
• Build relationships with local employers and identify employment opportunities.
• Support workplace accommodations and assistive technology when needed.
• Provide ongoing support to promote workplace success and career growth.
• Maintain accurate client and service documentation.

What We’re Looking For

You qualify through one of the following pathways:

Required:

• A relevant work or life experience
  supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with current insurance.
• Willingness to travel throughout the service area.
• Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screenings.

Experience in the following is a plus:

• Vocational rehabilitation
• Employment services or job coaching
• Workforce development
• Human or disability services
• Case management
• Working with veterans or individuals with disabilities
