Do Work That Matters

As a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist, you’ll work directly in the community to help people move from career goals to competitive employment and long-term success.

What You’ll Do

• Help individuals identify career goals, strengths, interests, and employment opportunities.
• Provide hands-on job coaching and support during interviews, orientations, training, and onboarding.
• Build relationships with local employers and connect individuals with meaningful employment.
• Support workplace accommodations, assistive technology, and natural workplace supports.
• Encourage positive relationships between participants, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Document services and maintain required PCP/IEP and program records.
• Provide community or employment transportation when needed, with mileage reimbursed.

What We’re Looking For

You qualify through one of the following pathways:

Required:

• A relevant work or life experience
  supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with current insurance.
• Willingness to travel throughout the service area.
• Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screenings.

Experience in the following is a plus:

• Vocational rehabilitation
• Employment services or job coaching
• Workforce development
• Human or disability services
• Case management
• Working with veterans or individuals with disabilities
