Key Components of Behavior Technician Position:

• Provide 1:1 home or school based intensive behavioral therapy

• Carry out individualized lessons and behavior plans as directed by your supervisor

• Utilize ABA instructional strategies, including but not limited to discrete trial teaching, natural environment training, incidental teaching, pivotal response training and verbal behavior

• Facilitate social skills training

• Record child’s progress and graph data

• Update data sheets

• Communicate with supervisor regarding child’s progress/behaviors and any intervention modifications

• Attend team meetings as needed

• Work collaboratively with teammates, parents and other professionals

• Maintain organized program binder

• Complete required paperwork

• Maintain agreed upon schedule for the child

• Arrive to scheduled sessions on time

• Notify supervisor and families of any schedule changes

• Make reasonable attempts to provide make-up sessions or find substitute for missed sessions due to therapist cancellations

• Attend internal and external professional workshops

• Maintain client confidentiality

• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

•Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience preferred

•Experience working with young children with special needs

•Coursework in special education, early childhood development, psychology or a related field
