Stark Carpet/Prestige Mills in Calhoun is looking for reliable hand sewer to work 2nd Shift 3:30pm-12:00am

Responsible for sewing carpets and moving carpets to the next phase of production.

Job duties may include:

• Perform detailed hand sewing tasks with precision and consistency to meet production standards.
• Interpret sewing instructions, product specifications, and work orders accurately.
• Ensure quality workmanship by inspecting finished products for defects or inconsistencies.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively as part of a team when required.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Communicate any issues or delays in production to supervisors in a timely manner.
• Participate in cross-training opportunities and assist in other departments as needed to support overall production goals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying and suggesting process enhancements.
  
  
  

Required Physical Abilities

Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. This position may often require bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Incumbent will regularly be around moving machinery as well as marked changes in temperature and humidity.
