Position Overview: The Assistant Foreman will oversee daily operations at worksites, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
• Organize tools, machinery, and materials.
• Manage field workers and oversee daily responsibilities.
• Supervise construction activities.
• Identify and requisition necessary materials and equipment.
• Coordinate contractor activities.
• Ensure tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards.
• Enforce health and safety regulations on worksite.
• Train and guide employees.
• Maintain detailed and accurate worksite reports.
• Document site conditions with photographs and log them according to protocol.
• Communicate project progress to the direct supervisor.
• Retain records related to work performed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organizational and time
management skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Experience with hand/power tools and job site materials.
• Understanding of building regulations and codes.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including securing and delivering materials,
transporting equipment, hauling trash, operating equipment, and assisting in installations.
• Ability to work in extreme conditions, including heat, standing, climbing, sitting, and
long periods of driving.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction assistant foreman or similar
supervisory role, preferably in the commercial construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, methods, and materials, with the ability to
read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to effectively manage and
motivate a diverse team to achieve project goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively
with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the
ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
