Biology Teacher

We are looking for a Biology Teacher for of a private K-12 school located in Beijing. This position is available from October or November 2026 for the 2026/27 academic year.

This is a well-established private boarding school in Beijing with approximately 2,300 students aged 2 to 18, offering education from kindergarten through senior high school. Its international high school runs Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level pathways alongside an AP programme, and graduates go on to universities in the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. Job details

• Teach Cambridge Biology to high school students and prepare them for the Cambridge examinations
• Design project-based learning, practical investigations and research tasks that build scientific inquiry and independent learning skills
• Use questioning, discussion and experimentation to develop analytical thinking and the ability to tackle unfamiliar biological problems
• Coach students in clear, precise and well-structured academic communication in English
• Support academic enrichment, competition preparation and applications to leading UK universities
• Monitor student progress and give clear, constructive feedback to students and parents
• Work with fellow teachers to develop and enhance the curriculum

Requirements

• Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to lead high-level academic discussion
• Master's degree or above in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences or a closely related discipline; a PhD is highly preferred
• Proven teaching experience in IGCSE/A-Level, IB or AP Biology
• Experience with project-based learning and with high-achieving or academically ambitious students preferred
• Experience in academic enrichment, competition preparation or Oxbridge/G5 preparation is an advantage
