Business Development Lead – LPG Haulage
Our client is seeking a results-driven Business Development Lead to drive growth and establish strategic partnerships within its LPG haulage operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and expanding market share within the downstream oil and gas logistics sector.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the LPG haulage and downstream oil & gas sector
Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue, market share, and client base
Build and maintain strong relationships with LPG marketers, depot operators, distributors, and industrial clients
Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and service agreements
Conduct market intelligence to track industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities
Collaborate with operations and fleet teams to ensure efficient service delivery and client satisfaction
Prepare and present proposals, business cases, and performance reports to senior management
Monitor KPIs, revenue performance, and profitability of haulage operations
Represent the company at industry engagements, stakeholder meetings, and networking events
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field (MBA is an added advantage)
Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in business development, preferably within oil & gas logistics or LPG distribution
Strong understanding of LPG supply chain, haulage operations, and regulatory environment in Nigeria
Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and closing high-value deals
Strong network within the downstream oil & gas sector is an advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
