The Opportunity
We're looking for a highly motivated individual to drive high-impact commercial initiatives that fuel ShopBack's growth. Sitting within Commercial and Growth, you'll work directly with C-level executives and the leadership bench, using data-driven analysis to shape solutions and execute with precision. This is a fast-track leadership development role. Over your first year, you'll be given real ownership — running initiatives end-to-end and leading a small team or task force — to build the commercial acumen and people leadership needed for a future P&L leadership role at ShopBack.

What You'll Own

  • Own Strategic Initiatives: Own, lead and execute the end-to-end management of high-impact, cross-functional commercial initiatives that align with the company’s strategic priorities.
  • Work with C-Level and Leadership: Working closely with senior leadership to develop, refine, and execute strategies that drive business growth and operational excellence.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with a lean project pod (cross-functional team members), setting direction, unblocking work, and driving impact — building the stakeholder management and people leadership muscle needed down the line.
  • Cross-Functional Exposure: Expect exposure through commercial initiatives that sits across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations to build a deep understanding of ShopBack's business and strategic challenges.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and execute detailed business plans end-to-end, including timelines, milestones, and resource requirements through to execution and delivery of key initiatives.
  • Commercial Problem-Solving: Apply strong commercial and financial judgement (unit economics, GMV/TC drivers, ROI) to identify gaps in business performance, propose solutions, and implement changes that improve efficiency and results.
  • Leadership Development: As part of a leadership track, demonstrate the leadership potential and commercial judgement to take on a future P&L leadership role, influencing company direction and growth.

    • Essentials to Succeed

  • Experience: 8 to 15 years of experience in commercial, or business related roles. Prior entrepreneurial experience is highly welcomed.
  • People Leadership: Demonstrated ability to guide, motivate and get the best out of a lean team, with and without formal authority.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial instincts — comfortable with P&L thinking, unit economics, and connecting data to revenue and growth outcomes.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong data and business analysis capabilities, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable, strategic recommendations.
  • Growth Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex, ambiguous challenges into clear, actionable steps to drive growth.
  • Communication: Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to express complex ideas succinctly and effectively.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to work with and influence stakeholders across teams and markets.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of managing multiple projects and initiatives, meeting deadlines, and delivering results.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, thrive in ambiguity, and lead with a bias to action.
  • AI Adoption: Demonstrated use of Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) to boost productivity, and drive efficiency at scale.
