Business Intelligence Analyst

Our client is the executive body of the EU responsible for managing it's daily business and ensuring compliance with EU treaties, with 28 member nations and a staff of over 23,000.

For our Branch located in Brussels, Belgium, we are currently looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst. He will serve as the liaison between business units and the Business Intelligence team

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Design and development of online analytical data processing (OLAP)

2. Creation and maintenance of a data warehouse

3. Development of data mining solutions

4. ETL processes

5. Data modelling

6. Design and development of reporting applications

7. Physical DB design

8. DB performance analysis

9. Elaboration of test programs

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. In-depth knowledge of data warehouse architecture, relational database systems applied to data warehouse

2. In depth knowledge of SQL

3. Good knowledge of ETL tools

4. Good knowledge of online analytical data processing (OLAP) and data mining tools

5. Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments

6. Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication.

7. Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team.

Mandatory requirements:

1. English and/ Or French oral and written skills

2. Minimum 6 years of IT professional experience

3. Minimum 2 years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems

4. Minimum 2 years of experience in Data Warehouse
