General description:

Provision of advice and assistance in any area associated with the procurement, provision, delivery, maintenance, deployment, hosting, and effective use of information systems and their environments


Nature of the tasks:

General:

Provision of technical studies, technical expertise, technical evaluations in relation with information systems

Analysis:

Provision of quality plans, service level agreements, quality tests, quality control and evaluation, quality assessments or other quality matters associated with information systems projects

Analysis of user requirements, design of new information systems, development of technical and functional specifications

Analysis of business processes, organisational structures, data flows, production of use case models, software architecture documents, design and analysis models, implementation models

IS costing and estimating

Quality and Management:

Defining quality, test and acceptance procedures and criteria. Test and acceptance of deliveries by third party contractors

Assistance in the implementation of project management methodology

Analysis of information systems portfolio, project planning, risk and cost/benefit analysis

Follow-up of developments

Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users

Technical Interface between the project leader and the developers


Technical expertise:

Systems architecture design, development, enhancement, and implementation

Assistance in testing, technical documentation, training, deployment, evaluation and reporting

In-depth knowledge of development methodologies (e.g. RUP) and modelling (e.g. UML)


Professional experience:

Substantial experience of analysis

Substantial experience in the domains of the studies (e.g. quality, security, requirement analysis, technical or functional domain)

Proven experience with quality procedures

Substantial experience in the realisation and implementation of studies

Optionally, experience in the domain (e.g. quality, security, requirement analysis, technical or functional domain), or with project methodologies (e.g. RUP), with COBIT, with UML or specific consulting tools


Language skills:

Good knowledge of English and French


Other specific expertise:

Ability to participate in multilingual meetings, excellent communicator

Ability to communicate with senior management and personnel at all levels Tact and diplomacy Capability of working in an international/ multicultural environment In-depth knowledge in information systems and specific functional areas

Well-developed writing and presentation skills

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree
