Cashier -- Somers Location

We are currently seeking Cashiers for our Somers location. The cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions efficiently and courteously while providing excellent customer service.

This is a shift-based role with hours ranging from:

• Monday–Saturday: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
• Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

You must be able to stand throughout the shift. While this position is primarily based at our Somers location, you may be scheduled to work at other locations based on business needs.

Essential Functions

• Operate a cash register
• Identify produce and meat items
• Provide customers with superior service
• Reconcile cash at the end of each shift
• Ring customer orders efficiently and accurately
• Perform other duties as assigned

Other Responsibilities

• Bag customer orders
• Clean the workstation and surrounding area
• Return misplaced product to its proper location
• Straighten and front product on shelves
• Replenish bag supplies
• Collect and return empty shopping carts to the correct location

Education, Experience & Skills

• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Ability to use a calculator
• Ability to understand and follow directions as given
• Ability to reach at arm’s length
• Ability to bend as required to perform job duties
