Produce Merchandiser

The produce merchandiser will assist the produce manager where needed. The job consists of a five-day week, which includes Saturday’s. The shift may start as early as 8 a.m. Typical duties are as follows:

Essential Functions

1. Provides customers with superior service
2. Builds product displays
3. Rotates products
4. Ensure that product reworks and markdowns are carried out when needed
5. Cleans refrigerated cases as directed
6. Unload product from trucks/pallets and properly stores them away
7. Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, sanitized manner
8. Other duties as required

Other Responsibilities

1. Checks product received against invoice
2. Orders product as instructed by department manager
3. Removes damaged or outdated product to designated area
4. Removes trash to designated area
5. Rotating products in cooler
6. Communicates any issues and/or concerns to store management

Experience and Skills Required

1. Ability to read, write and speak English
2. Ability to understand and follow directions
3. Ability to do the job while standing
4. Ability to bend and reach
5. Ability to lift boxes up to 60lbs
6. Ability to work in cooler temperatures
7. Ability to push/pull 4-wheel equipment loaded with product
