Commercial Plumbing Apprentice (2nd to 4th Year)

Earn $30.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on your experience and apprenticeship level. You also get health and dental benefits, a matching RRSP and a tool program, and you'll work a steady Monday–Friday schedule. Our Commercial division is growing and needs a 2nd to 4th year apprentice plumber. You'll work under Journeyman Plumbers installing plumbing systems in commercial buildings. That means rough-ins, groundworks and finished installations, all while building your skills toward your ticket.

On the Job, You'll:

• Help with groundworks, rough-ins and plumbing system installations in commercial buildings
• Read blueprints, schematics and technical drawings, and work from them
• Cut, thread and bend pipe using the right tools and methods
• Assemble, install and secure pipe, fittings and fixtures to specification
• Pressure-test systems for leaks using air and water gauges
• Work alongside Journeyman Plumbers, project managers and other trades on site
• Follow local plumbing codes, industry standards, safety protocols and company procedures
• Keep your tools, equipment and work area clean and organized

What You Need:

• Registration as a 2nd, 3rd or 4th year plumbing apprentice, in good standing
• At least 2 years of experience in commercial plumbing
• Familiarity with plumbing tools, materials and equipment
• Good mechanical skills and the ability to solve problems on the fly
• The physical ability to lift heavy materials and do manual labour
• Clear communication and a team-first attitude
• A valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract
• A strong commitment to safety and company policies
• The drive to keep learning new skills
