Coordinator: Information Security Testing

We're looking for a proactive Coordinator: Information Security Testing who is passionate about cybersecurity, risk management, and strengthening organisational security practices. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing the vulnerability assessment and penetration testing lifecycle, ensuring security risks are identified, prioritised, and remediated in line with organisational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. You'll work closely with security teams, technology stakeholders, and external testing partners to support a robust and effective security posture.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate the end-to-end vulnerability assessment and penetration testing programme across the organisation.
• Oversee the vulnerability lifecycle, from identification and assessment through to remediation and closure verification.
• Maintain an accurate vulnerability register, ensuring findings are tracked, prioritised, and resolved within agreed timelines.
• Coordinate external penetration testing engagements, including scope confirmation, scheduling, stakeholder alignment, and findings facilitation.
• Classify and prioritise vulnerabilities using established risk frameworks and organisational security policies.
• Monitor remediation progress across technology teams and escalate overdue or high-risk findings where necessary.
• Produce and maintain vulnerability management reports, metrics, and dashboards that provide visibility into risk exposure and programme performance.
• Engage with internal security teams and external testing partners to ensure findings are accurately communicated and understood.
• Support audit readiness activities by maintaining compliance documentation and evidence of security testing and remediation activities.
• Evaluate compensating controls and interim remediation solutions where immediate remediation is not immediately achievable.
• Identify opportunities to improve vulnerability management processes, reporting, and programme effectiveness.
• Support security awareness and compliance initiatives through ongoing stakeholder engagement and collaboration.

What We're Looking For

• 0–2 years of experience in vulnerability management, security testing coordination, or information security operations.
• Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Foundational understanding of vulnerability management, penetration testing, and security risk management principles.
• Knowledge of vulnerability assessment methodologies and security testing practices.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks and standards such as NIST and ISO 27001.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools, security controls, and remediation processes.
• Exposure to information security concepts, including network security, web application security, cloud platforms, authentication, encryption, and threat intelligence.
• Basic knowledge of security operations, investigation, troubleshooting, scripting, automation, and risk analysis.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic cybersecurity environment.
