Senior Developer L2

We’re looking for a forward-thinking Senior Developer (Level 2) to help shape the future of engineering by driving AI-augmented development, modern architecture, and platform excellence.

This is more than a coding role — it’s a technical leadership position where you’ll influence how we design, build, and scale highly regulated, high-performance systems used globally.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring our platforms remain secure, scalable, compliant, and future-ready, while accelerating the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices (Software 2.0).

What you’ll do

Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Design and deliver complex, distributed, cloud-native systems
• Lead architectural decision-making, balancing scalability, cost, and compliance
• Drive engineering standards and best practices across teams
• Conduct architectural reviews and assess technical risks

AI-Driven Engineering

• Champion AI-assisted development and Software 2.0 governance
• Define responsible AI standards and evaluation frameworks
• Guide teams in adopting AI tools while maintaining quality and compliance

Delivery & Platform Excellence

• Ensure high-quality, reliable releases across multiple teams
• Establish CI/CD, testing, and DevOps strategies
• Resolve complex production incidents and systemic issues
• Improve platform performance, resilience, and cost efficiency

Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor and coach senior developers and engineers
• Build a knowledge-sharing, high-performance engineering culture
• Enable teams to work autonomously within clear technical guardrails

Cross-Functional Impact

• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and Compliance teams
• Influence roadmaps, investment decisions, and strategic direction
• Evaluate emerging technologies and run proofs of concept

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Software Engineering, AI, or Systems Design (advantageous)
• 6–8+ years in software engineering and system design
• Proven experience designing large-scale distributed systems
• Strong background in cloud-native architectures and platform engineering
• Experience operating in regulated or high-compliance environments (advantageous)

Technical expertise

• Advanced knowledge of:
  • Software architecture patterns
  • Microservices & distributed systems
  • DevOps, CI/CD, and testing strategies
  • Application security and system reliability
• Experience with AI/ML-assisted development tools or strong interest in the space.

• Ability to lead without authority across multiple teams
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills
• Confident decision-maker with a systems-thinking mindset
