Deli Assistant (Part-Time)

SPAR Fassaugh Avenue is currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused Part-Time Deli Assistant to join our busy store team. The successful candidate will be passionate about food, committed to delivering excellent customer service, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and serve a range of fresh food and deli products to company standards

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner

• Ensure food preparation, storage, and presentation comply with Food Safety, HACCP, and company procedures

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the deli department

• Monitor product quality, freshness, and stock rotation

• Replenish stock and ensure displays are fully stocked and visually appealing

• Minimise waste and follow stock control procedures

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the deli department

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Previous deli or food service experience is desirable

• Knowledge of Food Hygiene and HACCP procedures would be beneficial

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Reliable, flexible, and self-motivated

• Available to work early morning shifts from 6:30am Monday to Friday and be flexible to work weekends
