Driver

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Transporting staff and clients utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
• Assisting with the loading and offloading of luggage, products, and materials.
• Maintain a professional image and attitude towards clients and co‐workers.
• Complete daily vehicle pre‐trip and post trip inspections and document and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Assist clients and patients as needed to safely complete the transfer.
• Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction.
• Promptly informing the company of any ticket’s issues against the company vehicle during work hours.
• Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.
• Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings.
• Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management.
• Must understand instructions in English (both written and spoken).
• Must be able to accurately complete activity logs vehicle reports.
• Must be able to understand and operate GPS devices and cell phones.
• Perform all duties as assigned by Seventy Times Seven Wellness Mission.
• Must be physically able to step up and down steps and safely secure clients for transport.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record. *Must be provided annually.
• Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.
• Working knowledge of local roads and routes.
• The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals.
• Effective communication skills.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Must pass a State of Maryland background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Working Conditions

• Working in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to sit for hours.
• Ability to work the hours necessary to complete the work.
